A Split-Faced Finish with Random Coursing
Berkshire® is defined by its split-faced finish: the face of each unit is fractured rather than sawn or tumbled, exposing the natural texture and crystalline structure of genuine Indiana Limestone. This sets Berkshire® apart within the Limestone Classics Series from Vanderbilt Classic, which carries a sawn finish, and Rockford Estate Blend, which carries a tumbled finish.
What distinguishes Berkshire® further is its coursing. Units are produced in varying heights, and when laid up, these varying courses fall into a random, non-repeating pattern rather than a uniform running bond. The result is a coursing rhythm that never sets up a visible repeat along the wall plane.
This combination of a fractured, split face and randomized course heights makes Berkshire® suitable for both commercial and fine residential structures, from institutional and civic facades to estate and custom residential masonry.
Part of the Limestone Classics Series
Berkshire® is one of three finishes offered within the Limestone Classics Series of genuine Indiana Limestone veneer, alongside Vanderbilt Classic (sawn finish) and Rockford Estate Blend (tumbled finish). Specifiers selecting among the series choose Berkshire® where a split-faced texture and random coursing are the intended architectural character.

Installation & Technical Information
Setting mortar: ASTM C-270 Type N.
Anchorage: galvanized iron wall ties, spaced approximately 24" vertically and 18" horizontally.
